Polartec®

Polartec® fabric technologies are performance features that can be designed into or applied to existing fabrics. By using unique silver yarns in Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics, we can add permanent odor resistance. With yarn selection and different construction techniques, we can create more wind resistant or sun protective fabric. And with an advanced surface fusion polymer, we can make the material more durable and highly water repellent.

Many of these technologies can be added to a number of different fabric styles to meet the exact performance needs of clothing manufacturers and consumers. Vests, pants, hats, blankets, jackets—the latest Polartec® technologies help us push the limit of what fabrics and finished garments can accomplish.

Polartec Alpha

Polartec® Alpha® takes the insulative characteristics of their fiber technology to a new level. Alpha is a unique mechanical construction of lofted-knit of hydrophic fibers, held in place with a mesh core so you get uniform heat retention, ultra light weight, that's tightly compressible. Polartec Alpha comes in a variety of face and liner fabrics, from ripstop nylon outer shell to a micro-fleece lining.

  • Light weight
  • Hydrophoic fibers wick moisture away
  • Uniform insulating value
  • Machine washable

Polartec Power Dry

Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are designed to keep your skin dry when you sweat. All fabrics in this series feature a patented bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimized to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly.

Polartec Power Stretch

Polartec® Power Stretch® fabrics feature body-hugging 4-way stretch and are very breathable. They keep you dry when you sweat and provide warmth without weight. These are the most versatile outdoor and fitness apparel fabrics available today. Many of the fabrics feature a proprietary construction with two unique surfaces: the durable outer layer is wind- and abrasion-resistant; the soft inner layer pulls moisture away from your skin keeping you dry, warm and comfortable. Other fabrics in the series feature compression stretch which can improve performance and reduces the chance of certain types of stop-go injuries. All the fabrics excel at handling the demands of the next-to-skin environment.

Polartec Power Stretch Pro

Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro fabrics feature body-hugging 4-way stretch and are very breathable. They keep you dry when you sweat and provide warmth without weight. These fabrics feature a proprietary construction with two unique surfaces: a durable nylon outer layer is wind and abrasion resistant; the soft polyester inner layer pulls moisture away from your skin keeping you dry, warm and comfortable. The fabrics excel at handling the demands of the next-to-skin environment.

Polartec Classic

The Polartec® Classic series of fabrics are the reference standard for lightweight warmth and breathability. Polartec(r) Classic fabrics have been the primary insulation layer of choice among experienced outdoor enthusiasts for nearly three decades.

This series of fabrics offers unparalleled quality and durability, and is available in four weights to provide a range of insulation levels:

  • Polartec® Classic Micro (extra light weight)
  • Polartec® Classic 100 (light weight)
  • Polartec® Classic 200 (mid weight)
  • Polartec® Classic 300 (heavy weight)

Polartec Thermal Pro

Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabrics are the most visually dynamic and technically advanced of the Polartec® insulation fabrics. Available in a variety of unique surface textures and patterns, many of which enhance performance, Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabrics are great styling options for virtually every end use. New high loft versions have achieved the highest warmth to weight ratios of any fabric Polartec® has ever offered. Other versions have the look of traditional wool with all the performance benefits of fleece. Polartec® Thermal Pro® is our most diverse family of fabrics.

Polartec Wind Pro

Polartec® Wind Pro® fabrics are extremely breathable yet provide 4x more wind resistance than traditional fleece. This is the new "super fleece" which spans an incredibly wide range of conditions; performs as both outerwear and insulation; and offers exceptional durability. This is a versatile fabric which can be worn all year long for a variety of activities.

Polartec Windbloc

Polartec® Windbloc® fabrics block 100% of the wind and offer maximum protection from the cold and the elements. A soft hand, stretch, and a durable water repellent finish (DWR) make this the highest quality, most comfortable windproof fleece product on the market.

  • Windproof and water repellent
  • Warmth without weight
  • Stretch for active comfort
  • Less noise than a hardshell

Polartec Power Shield

Polartec® Power Shield® fabrics are the next generation of technical outerwear — the soft shell. This clothing concept goes beyond traditional 2-layer systems, which feature fleece insulation and a waterproof/breathable shell, to a single layer that protects against all but the worst weather conditions and delivers extended breathability, abrasion resistance and stretch to enhance your outdoor experience.

  • Blocks 98% of the wind
