Description
Winter camping alert! The Yeti -40 is made for mountaineers who don't balk when it gets cold, they respond with better gear.
Our Yeti -40 has an extreme temperature rating of -40 degrees (C or F). When things get wild, as they often do in mountaineering, you can count on the Yeti 40 to help you survive the adventure. At more "reasonable" temps, like -20° C / -4° F, you'll have the warmth you need to sleep deep and recover from pushing to the point of exhaustion. (-40°F).
A DWR coating on a tough nylon shell provides protection from rain or the condensation that falls from the roof of the tent on a cold morning. Thick (4¼" / 11cm) rectangular baffles filled with 700+ fill power goose down deliver warmth in spades. In between camps the Yeti compresses to take up as little space as possible in your pack.
There's a draft tube along the inside of the zipper and around the shoulders to block the cold out plus a snorkel tube around the face. Full length zippers allow two mummy bags to be zipped together. The toe box is longer on top for a more natural foot position and toasty toes.
