A low gaiter made to keep snow, dirt, and stickers from falling inside your boots.
The upper shell is tough, rip-stop Robic. The lower, ankle zone uses Cordura fabric to withstand long term abuse. To keep the gaiter snug around your boot, a hypalon strap goes under the sole, and is sewn to the inside so it isn't available to get snagged on. As expected, there's a lace hook in front, and a wide strip of Velcro on the front seam to quickly open up or stay sealed shut.
