When you're headed for a long trail you want our Makalu. It's made especially for extended trips with only a tent for a roof and room enough to carry all your essentials, food, and clothing for a decadent weekend or a spartan week.
Chose your size, 65 liters for a 3-day weekend in comfort, or the 85 liter for an extended trip with the bare necessities.
Not that carrying 85 liters of anything but air is easy, but with the Makalu pack we make carrying a weeks worth of gear and food on your back more comfortable than you would imagine .
Our IBC suspension system adjusts to your torso length and rests comfortably on your hips. Two aluminum stays inside distribute the load evenly over your hips.
The hip belt is contoured not only around your hips, but is cupped to hug your illiac crest. There are two removable, zippered pockets on the hip belt for snacks or other small items.
Stretchy side and front panel stash pockets plus 3x compression straps to hold gear or reduce pack volume.
Multiple lash points: Ice axe loops, ladder chains, elastic cord ties, bottom straps, and 3x compression straps.
Shoulder straps have plenty of dense padding, with a sternum strap that adjusts up or down and has an emergency whistle on the buckle.
The main pack has a huge, top-loading main compartment with an extendable lid. There is a partition on the bottom that can be accessed from the frontside via a huge #10 YKK zipper with dual-sliders.
Webbing straps along the bottom let you add things like a rolled up sleeping pad or tent.
Hydration ready with two exit ports on either side, and a sleeve against the back panel to hang a water bladder within. Plus tons of other features.
