Description

When it's no longer cool, it's downright cold, you want our Flight Lite down hoody.

Our Flight Lite hoody will put the warmth back in your smile. And it's light, just over a pound (½ kg) to keep the cold at bay.

Our most popular down jacket for alpine ascents has a shorter length to work with a harness. A strip of tougher material on the draft tube protects against getting caught in the zipper.  Quilted baffles with a tight construction are filled with 700+ fill power goose down for more uniform loft and better compressability. To prevent the down shifting, vertical baffle walls are added in the sleeves. Articulated arms enhance range of motion, and elastic cuffs seal in warmth. The hood has a high internal collar with drawcords around your face and behind your head. Four zippered pockets adorn the jacket, along with two pack-compatible hand pockets on the sides, an internal and external chest pocket, and two interior cargo pockets.

The Mountain Lovers Jacket

"Though it appears high volume when I’m wearing it, it packed down into my day pack easily, leaving plenty of room for snacks, water, and other necessities...Few jackets that I’ve worn have had such easy-to-use zips."

Explorer Gear

"I have never been a fan of the cold, but for the first time in my life, I am sad to have to put my coats away for the summer...Not only did I get compliments on the jackets, I never complained about being cold while wearing them!"

LOVE this jacket

I love this jacket, it's so warm and also super lightweight. Packs down to nearly nothing so great for traveling.

Fits your helmet

Also want to mention the hood is built to fit helmets - skiing or climbing. The cinch was a little tricky to figure out at first, but compresses around your face enough to keep out the cold so you can continued to enjoy your route.

For Crag, Backcountry and Downtown

Kept me warm as I belayed and worked on beta from the base of a crag in 30 degree F as well as in 40 mph winds in crisp Canada air out in the backcountry hut system. Super fluffy and packs down for easy transport. And who doesn't love many zipper pocket options?Would buy this again in more colors next year.

Great Jacket!

Great jacket! It's really nice for ski touring to throw on when you're putting your boots on in the parking lot and sitting around eating lunch. I'm excited to use it bike touring through Europe this summer/coming fall.Pros:-Great warmth to weight ratio-Super comfy lining-PackableCons:-The elastic band in the cuff sometimes gets twisted, but it's pretty easy to twist back

Combats Cold

I have never been a fan of the cold, but for the first time in my life, I am sad to have to put my coats away for the summer. .. Not only did I get compliments on the jackets each time I wore one, but I never complained about being cold while wearing them!

One critique about the pockets is that the two chest pockets are on the same side of the jacket. If using both pockets at the same time, this could look awkward and bulky. The cargo pockets are my favorite!

Durable

I climbed in Southern Patagonia wearing this jacket. I was too cold to take it off and ended up climbing with it on. Worried at first but ultimately impressed how it held up. Patagonia granite is notorious for being sharp and shredding ropes and clothing alike. The reinforced shoulders and sleeves truly held up. Not a single rip in the jacket! Like it!
