Red Fox’s quintessential mountaineering pack series gets tighter and trimmer without sacrificing any of its versatility. Our new Alpine Light packs maintain a consistent width throughout their length, tapering slightly at the bottom to prevent getting snagged while climbing.
The fabric is super resilient Robic that shrugs off abrasion and resists punctures and tears.
Our tried and true suspension system is built on a PE framesheet molded to the curves of your back (you can customize the bends) from two aluminum struts that form a triangle of support from your shoulders to the base of your spine. On top of that we add molded foam pads that rest softy against your back with a venting channel up the spine. Behind your head the pack is recessed, creating an occipital cavity so you can lift your head without bumping into the lid.
The shoulder straps aren't merely padded, they're sculpted to allow your arms to raise without the pads bunching up. On the sternum strap we've added a stretchy breather strap and a whistle to the buckle.
The Alpine Light 30 features metal buckles for durability, a thin zippered front pocket, extendable top lid, ladder chains, compression straps, horizontal lash straps with metal hooks and four tool loops. There are multiple lash points for carrying tools with organizational pockets inside and out, including an internal sleeve and ports on either side for a hydration system.
